Responsible for service and maintenance of gas engine compressor packages and associate equipment for multiple applications. Responsible for leading, supervising and training less-experienced Field Service Technicians. Maintaining a high level of safety and environmental quality is required.
Overall Responsibilities and Qualifications:
All aspects of Service Technician III, plus the Field Service Technician Lead has at least 7-10 years’ experience in all aspects of diesel and gas compressor equipment installation, assembly, commissioning, repair, and troubleshooting on a variety of size, capacity and model equipment in the oil field area. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude, knowledge of breakdown, maintenance and monitoring tools including software, laser alignment tools, hand and power tools and ability to read and apply technical manuals, blueprints, and installation &.maintenance instructions. The person in this position should be considered an expert and go-to resource, and is able to supervise and lead a team of Field Service Technicians and act as a mentor and training resource to less experienced Field Service Technicians. Strong focus on all aspects of a safe workplace and safety, and maintains up-to-date training and knowledge on an ongoing basis. Complete reporting in areas of safety, inventory, work hours, job costs and other reporting requirements to meet deadlines with little re-work is an important aspect of this position.

Physical Requirements:
Frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds and occasionally up to 100 lbs. with the use of proper lifting techniques. Stand, walk, climb, perform overhead work with fall protection, use hands to feel, handle or operate objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms, sit, talk and hear. At least 20/40 arrested binocular vision, as well as close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to kneel, balance, push, pull, drive, stoop, climb, and crouch. This position may require 12 hour daily work shifts in exposed outdoor environment for extended times. This position may be expected to use SCUB breathing apparatus in hazardous environments. Limited travel may be required.
